Our Beginnings...

When Jesse Hambrick began his law enforcement journey in 1990, he had no idea where it would lead him over the next three decades. At the start of his career, he focused on being the best officer he could be, without much thought about the places his work would take him. He simply dedicated himself to working hard every day and doing his best in every assignment.

Over time, he developed a mindset that each assignment was the most important job there was. This approach became a habit, and as he moved up the ranks to become a supervisor, he began teaching others this philosophy: "Whatever job you have, consider it the most important and do it well." This habit became his motto, and he believed that striving for excellence and acting like an expert would ultimately make one an expert.

In 2004, Hambrick and Dr. Vance Boddy launched Georgia's first citizen-based Methamphetamine Task Force. The initiative aimed to prevent Methamphetamine use and distribution through education, prevention, treatment, and enforcement. As the national awareness of Methamphetamine issues grew, so did Hambrick's opportunities to speak publicly and appear on television. He contributed to numerous national and local news stories and documentaries, including A&E's "Meth in the City" and Georgia Public Broadcasting's coverage on Meth's impact in Georgia. At age 33, he discovered his passion for educating others and changing lives, marking the start of his career in public speaking and education.

Following the creation of the Meth Task Force, Hambrick authored his book, Prisoners of Meth, and began consulting with private, public, and faith-based organizations on key societal issues. His presentations covered a range of topics, such as active shooter awareness, workplace violence, drug and gang identification, the dangers of social media, and drug and alcohol awareness. He also continued collaborating with A&E, appearing in five episodes of Beyond Scared Straight, and engaged with legislators both locally and in Washington, D.C.

Throughout his career, Hambrick worked alongside some of the Southeast's top criminal investigators. These collaborations helped him learn, develop trust, and forge strong friendships. Today, two of those investigators have joined him as consultants with J Walton Consulting and Education Services. Hambrick has built a small but highly skilled team of consultants who not only provide expert education and consultation but also bring valuable real-world experience in the services offered by J Walton Consulting. They are committed to delivering the education and guidance that individuals and organizations need.
